"Cash in hand" The city will pay you 5,000 JPY in cash

For people over 70 years old (Registered Cash Mail 現⾦書留) 

• The delivery of cash-on-delivery letters was completed throughout the city by the end of July.
•  On 3 August, we sent out notification letters to those who, due to absence or other reasons, were unable to collect a cash-on-delivery parcel containing 5,000 yen in cash even after the post office’s keeping period had expired, urging them to arrange for the money to be transferred to their bank account. Please complete the necessary procedures as soon as possible.

People from 19 to 69 years old(Collect the payment at a Seven Bank ATMセブン銀⾏ATM受取）

•  We will send a reminder notice on 1 September to those who have not yet completed the procedures for Seven Bank ATM withdrawal. Please submit your application by the deadline of 30 September. If you miss the application deadline, you will no longer be able to collect your payment at a Seven Bank ATM and will only be able to apply for a bank transfer.
• Even if you have already applied, if you do not collect your payment at an ATM by the collection deadline of 31 October, you will need to apply to have it transferred to your bank account, so please collect it as soon as possible.
• Application deadline: 30 September (Wednesday) Collection deadline: 31 October (Saturday)

Regarding the application deadline for bank transfers

• Application deadline: Thursday 31st December ※Postmark valid.
•  If you miss this deadline, you will no longer be able to receive the 5,000-yen payment, so please complete the procedure as soon as possible.
•  The scheduled transfer date is the last day of the month following the month of application (except for December, when the transfer will be made on the 25th).

Deadline for the “Cash in hand the city will pay you 5000 Japanese Yen”

• Final application date for the “Cash in hand the city will pay you 5000 Japanese Yen”: Thursday 31st December
•  The programme will end with the transfer of funds for December applications via bank transfer at the end of January.
• The final acceptance date for application for “Cash in hand the city will pay you 5000 Japanese Yen” is Thursday 31st of December.

Closure of the Call Centre

• The call centre (050-3816-9044) will close on Friday 30th October (Friday).

Eligible recipients

Residents of Kuwana City who are registered on the reference date and meet both of the following criteria:

1. Reference date for the resident register: 1 March 2026
2. Persons born on or before 1 April 2007

 

The following persons are not eligible for payment:

• Persons born on or after 2 April 2007
• Persons who passed away before the City dispatched the payment notification

Notice for the Eligible recipients

• From mid-May onwards, we will send a notification to each eligible recipient regarding the payment. This notification will be sent as a postcard.

How to receive the payment

People over 70 years old（People born on or before 2 March 1956〔Showa 31〕）

It will be sent via Registered Cash Mail, so please look out for it.

※Postal circumstances may cause delays in delivery, or the delivery date may change.

People from 19 to 69 years old (People born between 3 March 1956〔Showa 31〕and 1 April 2007〔Heisei 19〕)

Once you have received the notification of payment (postcard), please complete the online procedure, and collect your payment at a Seven Bank ATM.

You cannot receive the money on the day.

The registration will be closed on the day at 5pm and the notification email will be sent 2 working days later. Registration after 5pm will be accepted on the next day.

The deadline for the application is on the Tuesday 30 June 2026 Monday 31 August 2026. So please apply as soon as you can.
